Favorite Scipture Verse:
Romans 12:15-18 Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight. Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.
Favorite Quote:
"Happiness can be found in the darkest of times if one only remembers to turn on the light." - Dumbledore
Welcome to Second Grade! I am so excited to have you all in my class this year. We are going to have so much fun learning and exploring new things together. Last year, in First Grade - you learned to decode, build your vocabulary, and comprehend written material. In Second Grade, we will build upon those skills and explore the world of reading by going to the next level. Most Second Graders look forward to learning script; you will be able to write all your letters and words in script by the end of the school year. This year will be exciting as you will prepare to make your First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion by the spring
In our classroom, we will become a community of helpers by working as a group on projects, fundraising, and service projects. We are going to have so much fun being Second Graders!
I feel truly blessed to have such amazing and special students in my classroom each year. I strive to meet the needs of my students and encourage them to become more independent learners. I look forward to meeting each family and encouraging strong communication between us to help reach classroom goals. While families can always expect progress reports and report cards, I welcome additional communication. I am always checking my email and will happily schedule a phone call time that is mutually convenient.
